See you in real life \ud83d\udcab<\/p>\n From the very beginning, Elo\u00efse and Tomo invited Tata Christiane to be part of the curated selection at Future Days Shop, recognizing the label’s playful spirit and timeless appeal. As part of the 1-year anniversary celebration, they were kind enough to share their story and vision with us in the following interview.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Perhaps the idea for Future Days Shop<\/a> began after Elo\u00efse intuitively gifted Tomo an embroidered cloth she happened to have in her purse after being so inspired at the end of one of his concerts.<\/p>\n We barely spoke that night, but Tomo kept this very cloth in his guitar case until we met again by chance a year later. Recognising the power of craft and sound from then on, we often discussed how we both secretly dreamed of having a shop one day since we were kids and what our respective dream shops would look and feel like.<\/p>\n Future Days Shop eventually arose out of our desire to join our two distinct worlds and to create a new dialogue surrounding apparel<\/a>, art<\/a>, and music<\/a>.<\/p>\n More than ever before, we felt a collective desire and need for people to have a third physical space that is playful, creative, yet still elegant.<\/p>\n Our vision was to create the store we always wished we could visit; a place with a focus on items that we feel will carry into the future, as well as a platform for artists that are fearlessly redefining craft<\/a>. We were also set on creating a place that isn\u2019t overly cold or exclusionary.<\/p>\n At Future Days, there\u2019s a little bit of something for everyone: you can come with your family or your partner or your friend, and each person can explore their respective interest. For example, if you are not so much into clothing, you can peruse our handpicked selection of rare books<\/a>, vintage toys<\/a>, or discover a handmade ceramic<\/a> made by our friends in Japan.<\/p>\n We seek to reinterpret the concept store as a place of discovery, soulfulness, and where one can overall leave feeling inspired.<\/p>\n Most importantly, we want to bring back a sense of play. For us, playfulness and humour can be both elegant and intelligent.<\/p>\n …our global vision that people will increasingly choose to invest in handmade<\/a> and timelessness in the future days to come…<\/p>\n …through our hand-picked selection of emerging designers<\/a>, records, art, vintage, and unique items…<\/p>\n For example, a secondhand Dries Van Noten<\/a> dress… next to a Fisher Price toy<\/a> one fondly remembers from childhood.<\/p>\n …using our space to host a variety of workshops<\/a>, exhibits, and events.<\/p>\n Elo\u00efse will host a variety of textile workshops within the Future Days\u2019 back studio called Inner World Studio<\/a>.
