Introduction
Berlin has long been a city of experimentation, reinvention, and bold ideas. In the heart of Charlottenburg,
Bikini Berlin stands not only as a landmark of modern architecture and shopping culture,
but also as a hub for innovation in sustainable fashion. Within its walls, the Re-Use Superstore—a space supported by the Berlin Senate’s Re-Use Berlin initiative—brings together one of the largest communities of upcycling designers under one roof.
Among them, Tata Christiane continues the journey of crafting emotional clothing through care, imagination, and transformation.
Bikini Berlin: a creative concept mall
Bikini Berlin is more than a shopping mall—it is a curated space that rethinks what a contemporary retail experience can be.
Nestled inside the historic Bikinihaus complex, the concept favors independent brands, pop-up boxes, and experimental projects over standardized retail.
Light-filled corridors open toward the Berlin Zoo, blending urban life with glimpses of nature. This balance of creativity, commerce, and community has turned Bikini Berlin into a cultural destination.
In that same spirit of reinvention, the house hosts the Re-Use Superstore, now the city’s largest platform for circular fashion, repair, and upcycling.
The Berlin Senate’s Re-Use initiative
The city-wide program Re-Use Berlin encourages circular economy practices across everyday life.
Its mission: extend product life cycles, reduce waste, and promote creative approaches to reuse and repair. Through events, awareness campaigns, and supported spaces like the Re-Use Superstore, the initiative shows how fashion and design can thrive beyond linear consumption. For Tata Christiane, this public commitment resonates deeply: our work with upcycled and deadstock materials, and our practice of emotional clothing, align with a city that values resourcefulness, craftsmanship, and imagination.
Inside the Re-Use Superstore
The Re-Use Superstore at Bikini Berlin is a curated 187 m² space bringing together twelve independent labels devoted to upcycling, repair, and circular design.
It functions as a living showroom of radical resourcefulness: visitors will find upcycled fashion alongside bags, jewelry, furniture, and experimental textile art.
Each piece is a response to overproduction and an invitation to see materials anew.
Since August 1, 2025, our friends at Therapy Recycle and Exorcise & FADE OUT Label are also part of this community, expanding from our self-funded collective in Friedrichshain, RARE Store and Collective, into West Berlin.
The Superstore gathers an inspiring roster of designers, including : Lu La Loop, Wallawalla Berlin, HUMDRUM Studio, Jovius Vintage, K∆IGERH∆RDT, Pacov Project, Paola Kubes, Tata Christiane, bolsos berlin, Daniel Kroh Studio, and Ministry of Upcycling.
Tata Christiane at Re-Use Superstore
For Tata Christiane, joining the Re-Use Superstore means standing shoulder to shoulder with peers who share the same mission: reimagining fashion through care, play, and transformation. The Superstore complements our presence at RARE Store and Collective in Friedrichshain, connecting us with a wider audience in Charlottenburg.
At Bikini Berlin, visitors can discover one-of-a-kind pieces made from upcycled and deadstock materials—garments that carry the philosophy of emotional clothing: fashion that is more than fabric, a practice of storytelling and a gentle refusal of overproduction.

Why this community matters
For us—and for many independent designers—Re-Use Superstore is more than a central location. It is proof that community can replace competition, and that sustainable fashion is not a niche but a viable, joyful alternative to mass consumption.
From Friedrichshain to Charlottenburg, from Berlin to our stockists in Europe and Japan, we keep pushing toward an independent, ethical, and circular vision of fashion—together with others who share this commitment.
