Tata Christiane at FETZENMARKT – Slow Fashion and Upcycled Design in Berlin’s MaHalla
We’re excited to share that Tata Christiane, together with our friends from the RARE Store collective, will take part in the next edition of FETZENMARKT, happening May 10 and 11 at the iconic MaHalla venue in Berlin-Oberschöneweide.
Twice a year, this bold and visionary event transforms the industrial halls of MaHalla into a playground for alternative fashion, slow design, performance, and self-expression. This time, we’re joining over 60 carefully curated designers and artists from Berlin and beyond to celebrate creativity outside the fashion mainstream.
✸ About MaHalla – Berlin’s Industrial Temple of Culture
MaHalla is a unique cultural space located in Oberschöneweide, East Berlin, housed in a monumental former industrial power station. With its vast turbine halls, raw concrete textures, and monumental machinery, MaHalla offers an extraordinary backdrop for artistic experimentation, music, performance, and alternative fashion. It has become one of Berlin’s most iconic venues for boundary-pushing cultural events, blending history, underground energy, and radical creativity. Whether for immersive exhibitions, live concerts, or curated markets like Fetzenmarkt, MaHalla embodies the spirit of a living, breathing Berlin — past, present, and future.
